Responsibilities for Baking Crew Member:
- Be involved in preparing and baking a wide selection of baked goods, which includes specialty items like cookies, pastries, bread, cakes, and pies.
- Control the functioning of ovens and baking devices, making certain that temperatures are precise and baked goods are cooked impeccably.
- Oversee ingredient inventory levels, order necessary supplies, and maintain correct ingredient storage procedures.
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitizing protocols to create a safe and hygienic atmosphere for baking activities.
- Perform consistent checks on baked products to validate they align with the bakery's requirements for appearance, texture, and flavor.
Physical Requirements for Baking Crew Member:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, knead, and lift heavy bags of flour, sugar, and other baking ingredients (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to work with hot ovens and baking equipment.
