Checkout Associate

Job Summary of Checkout Associate:

A Checkout Associate is responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, and providing excellent service in a food service environment. This role involves taking customer orders, managing cash registers, maintaining a clean workspace, and assisting with basic food preparation when needed. Checkout Associate work in restaurants, cafeterias, fast food establishments, and other food service locations.

Responsibilities for Checkout Associate:

• Make sure to know and adhere to the proper coupon handling protocols.
• Adhere to the proper channels and procedures for cashing company checks and managing financial transactions.
• Be held responsible for all funds received during transactions and uphold transparency in financial handling.
• Focus on the transaction at hand and avoid conversing with a coworker during the checkout process.
• Ring up and scan customer orders in compliance with company policy and store productivity benchmarks. Accurately credit items to the correct department and ensure the cart is free of all products.
